Springfield is built around Baltimore Pike. The long commercial stretch through the township has been one of the busiest shopping corridors outside Philadelphia for a century, known locally as the Golden Mile, and it still runs thick with the mall, shopping centers, car dealerships, restaurants, and the small businesses packed in between.
Step off the Pike and the rest of Springfield is a dense, established bedroom community, block after block of mid-century single-family homes from the postwar developments that filled in the old farmland. A lot of those homes were wired for the demands of the 1950s and are ready for more. After 25 years working across Delaware County, both the corridor and the neighborhoods behind it are familiar territory.
What we do in Springfield
For commercial clients we handle service upgrades, retail and restaurant fit-outs, showroom and parking-lot lighting, EV charging stations, and the on-call maintenance that a busy commercial corridor keeps generating. Baltimore Pike alone runs on a steady diet of storefront turnover, tenant changes, and lighting that has to stay on, and that’s a lot of what commercial work looks like around here. More on the commercial electrical page.
For homeowners we do the work older houses need: panel and service upgrades, rewires and added circuits, knob-and-tube replacement, kitchen and bath renovations, recessed lighting, and EV charger installations that older service sometimes needs to be upgraded to support. Springfield’s postwar housing keeps a steady stream of that older-home work coming. More on the residential electrical page.
For backup power, we install and wire standby generators for homes and businesses around Springfield, sized to what the property actually needs. For a business on the corridor, that can mean keeping the lights and registers on through an outage; for a home, it’s usually a standby unit sized to cover the essentials. More on the generator installation page.
